About the origin, it's also been told that the Celtics originated this event as part of a harvest festival of sorts, with some history of the dead. I'm missing the whole fertility thing.

By the way Halloween, in the modern day celebrations, over the last 50-100 years is mostly for fun, no religion, no Goddess of Fertility etc... Just fun...
Try on that Robot costume, the 2 rolls of TP (mummy) or what ever, laugh a little.
