wouldn't surprise me if the credit crisis was made worse by the banks knowing that there was a bailout on the way. why expose themselves to unnecessary risk? why not wait for congress to take the bad debt off of their hands?

pretty much it was verbatim of what they said after they passed the bill. heheh. i had fox on when they passed teh bill, and those senators came up to talk with reporters - it was really, really bad how self-congratulatory they were.
