Your point on my blog about the vet that cut down the American Flag out of anger of it flying lower than the American Flag is exactly correct. I've been away for a few days and got an interesting email so I posted it on my site.

I agree with Doug, I just hope this good man doesn't get sucked in the goody two shoes line and have to go through hell and back to justify his reason for taking down the flag.

I call for a PD car to respond to a gas station because the arab man that owned the station had an American flag that was little more than some threads and a binding hanging outside of his business. I asked him to take it down and he got very unpleasant. PD came and told him to take it down because he couldn't keep it there in that shape. He said he liked it that way. He was given an option to take it down or go to jail. He took it down. When I went by a few days later there was a new one hanging there. It was a small win but it felt good.

I appreciate where you are located. I was born in Alburqurque in 1951, although I have lived most of my life in Mississippi.

I agree with you, the silence is deafening! Something big happened. I believe that at least 2 nuclear devices were transported out of N. Korea. The plan, I would guess, would be to attempt nuclear blackmail or a strike at Israel and US forces in Iraq at the same time.

I am still monitoring the net but have yet to find out anything more.

I like the dry, warm weather here. Moved here as a kid after my father died. Lived over 22 years wherever the AF sent me, which was pretty much worldwide. I spent some time in the ME and know that the Syrians would not be silent if the target was not real important. I am thinking that they are more concerned about what the US would do if verification of the site provided the proof of previous accusations. If it were a nothing site then they would be squawking like they did over the deep raid made by Israel in Lebanon. Another point is they may not like the fact that "Western" technology easily penetrated their "new" defense network installations.
