Well, as to his acting career
The reason he got into acting was that he was a very noted and notable lawyer back in the day. When Hollyweird decided to make a movie based on one of his cases, they couldn't find a professional actor with enough of Fred's qualities to portray him, so they actually offered him the part of playing himself. He accepted, and his acting career went from there.
So, by condemning him as an actor, you're actually getting things turned around 180 degrees, because his acting career is actually founded on his career as a prosecutor.
Just a little tidbit that I hope clarifies a bit.

Fred
first attracted my attention in my quest for a different candidate.Someone with similar conservative views and not afraid to back those views up.I am fed up with politics as usual! The top republican *declared* candidates all appear to me to be nothing but Rinos and a vote for any one of them is a vote for the same type of guvmint we have now, ineffective, wasteful,do/say anything-to-get-a-vote earmark style we've all gotten used to.I've not seen anything about him yet that I don't like.

Thanks for the comments, man I agree a vote for the big three who have declared would be business as usual. I keep forgetting almost that Fred isn't even a declared candidate yet.
Brian you got it right, I hadn't looked into his background enough, he was great at "real life" before he bacame an actor. My bad there.

My guy can handle it.
It's hard to find an article where people are actually reading and commenting here at TownHall, any more. Therefore, I will try to get the word out with several postings.
You have been duped by media, both liberal and conservative, about McCain. Therefore, you don't have the whole story about Mike Huckabee, either. Here's something you might not have known.

My guy can handle it.
You see, it's not about hating the Democrats.
It's about a love for our country.
I don't choose to vote Obama because I'm anti McCain. I choose to vote Mike Huckabee because I'm pro-America.
I see better days for America with Huckabee, not the avoidance of a lesser evil with McCain.
I see someone who really comes from Hope, again, with Mike Huckabee. Someone who will make America a better place. Maybe even someone who will make Americans a better people.
I really have Hope with Mike Huckabee, again.
