S-CHIP

I shake my head at the current Congress also (and am also a fellow NDakotan... HI!)

I have posted a blog of my own regarding all of the campaign money that is raised every election year... hundreds of millions of dollars that could be spent on anything that would help Americans for which government funding is short.

When the candidates stand up their and talk about helping "the poor and needy" among us, it really falls flat when we see the record-breaking funds they are raising to buy attack advertising against their opponents that no one wants to watch.

It's silly and sad...

"Let's help the needy" makes me shake my head when the war chest gets opened up to instead buy flyers and dirty-rotten commercials that trash opponents.

Getting elected trumps helping the poor and needy too often.

Rush's Letter

I got a big laugh out of Rush Limbaugh and how he turned the tables on the Democrats who sent him that "phony soldiers" letter.

I looked it up on E-Bay and notice that both our ND Senators were among those who signed it.

I don't suppose that all of those Senators will match Rush's 2 million + 2 million donation to help needy soldiers? If the letter was truly sent in the spirit of supporting the military, you would think that they would all want to contribute at least something!

Right on

All three of you. Right on.

Although this is nearly a year after the fact, Rush truly did throw Congress' little tantrum back in their faces and really put their true motive on public display.

As for S-CHIP....what a freakin nightmare that turned into.

If only it weren't laden with so much freakin PORK it might've gone somewhere...
