welcome to TH!
The "free stuff with no responsibility" party can never practice what it preaches, the non reasoning factless Left of America only exists in the emotions and feelings of the socialist dreamers. And I disagree with Amanda, the Left has not grown at all. They just cry louder. Good luck to you!

Your correct dave
__"the Left has not grown at all."They cannot grow, and produce, according to their socialist ideals. An ideology that claims to be liberal, and more recently embracing the progressive label. When a society is directed by a power that liberally takes from the societies production,it limits its ability to produce.Has this power progressively adds possessions to the takers of this type of society, the production begins to stagnate. This is a part of the lefts agenda to create an equal society.A form of pure democracy without this republics controls.Instead, the left wishes to have a democracy according to the views of the ruling power.I just heard Hillary say,in their last debate, somthing about how she wants to create a democrat union.A very divisive statement in this United States!

Yikes!
I visited your site because you left a comment at mine but I read your post; I'm one of the old hippie generation. But I grew up. It just turned out that the good intentions that we were so certain of weren't so good after all. The left cant grow because the premises it is built on are false. Now that they're poised to take power and keep it we're about to feel the results of their good intentions. I stopped being a good hippie when I realized that conformity not freedom was what was going on. My kids are just emerging from college, leftists all, but the seeds of understanding are there. Maybe there's still hope.At least the lib nutballs dont post on our blogs although I have had a couple Ron Paul visitations. You seem to be free of Warren Small, Phylosfizer and HalD...

I've been writing just about everyone I can get to with this message:
I'm writing to you about something we all need to get involved with.
If you're already a member, that's good, spread the word. If not:

In this site, you can let your congress know just exactly how you feel.
Be aware though, I found in checking one of my representatives were wrong.
But it is a great, free place to go and have your voice heard.
Thanks,
Garry
Sounds like this is a way for even conservatives to use the internet to have our voices heard. This way, not only will it be heard, it will be heard by the very ones that are supposed to be voting for US!!!
Great Post, keep it up.

Good Post
I like what you said on the Column and the post. One of the great tools of the Web is the ability to get beyond the catchy Orwellian phrases and digest the meat.
I think that most people who seek out a site like Town Hall have an interest and usually are better informed then the average citzen. The fact that most of them do not take the time to research but take comments at face valur or give opinion as fact, is a reflection of the laziness of American Sheeple.

Alinsky
We need to take apart Alinsky; make Alinsky a hot word in the election debate; expose Sen. C's root connection to Alinsky; publish, quote, show Alinsky to big time broadcasters; explain how Sen. C is a storm trooper for the Alinsky vision, tell how this vision advances Marxist Totalitarianism; point out how Sen. C uses Alinskian strategems in the course of her media communications, for instance, her "Christmas" vidcast to the nation.
She was alone. Her "gifts" were social welfare programs. She made a point of talking to herself, not to anyone in general. There was no heartfelt "Christmas" greeting. She followed the Alinsky formula, which Limbaugh quoted, found in "Rules For Radicals." This little maneuver uses Christian morality to bash Christians, in this case, to provide charity through her government and power that Christians fail to provide. (Untrue, but so what.)
Ultimately, we MUST get our candidate to bring up all of this, to get the ALINSKY ISSUE pointed at her throat along with the CONSTITUTIONAL issue of AMENDMENT XXII, i.e., terms limits for a President. The Dyad claims to have been a two headed President? Very well, Sen. C has de facto already served as President and cannot be allowed to SKATE back into the White House on a technicality.
