The Most Liberal Government in U.S. History

Blame?

I don't blame the liberals for what has happened. They just did what they always do. I blame the people who call themselves Christians! Unbelievably, they obviously turned out in record numbers to vote for Obama and other liberal candidates. Fox news even said that their exit polls showed that 17% of the people that voted for George Bush in 2004, voted for Obama in 2008. Christians MUST have voted for agendas that clearly subvert biblical morality. Yet, as recently as the day before the election, I heard preachers refusing to tell their listeners clearly who to vote for. I commend you Joel, for this forum and your clear expression, but it should have come from the pulpits all across America. The "Fairness" doctrine is only the beginning. The liberal agenda also includes "Hate Crime" legislation that will impose criminal prosecution for speaking out against homosexuality or abortion. I pray that our churches haven't missed their last chance to speak out for the morals of our country.

CLARIFICATION

After posting the previous comment, it came to my attention that there was ANOTHER David posting comments to prior blogs.
PLEASE do NOT confuse the two Davids. I greatly appreciate Jogar's blogs and pray that continues to speak the truth to America.

Blame?

Is there really one group to "blame"? We need to blame ourselves for apathy and complacency. The "liberals" don't always vote this way, this was not just a liberal vote, it was color swayed, it was because of the condition of the economy and confusion, a lot of these people have lost their homes (for whatever reason)and the mainstream media has blamed the current administration. This all started so long ago.
All I know is that at this point we need to re-stratigize and not start 6 months before the election, we need to be a prevelent force beginning now for the next presidential election.
Churches haven't lost their voices, yet, it's still a free county last time I checked.

Good post man!

we are in for a rough ride over the next couple years, perhaps even longer if conservatives via the GOP don't change things around.

Latino huh? Any chance you from california? Stop by my blog some time if you like.

The Other David

Hi Joel!
It's the other David! Perhaps you are looking at this from the wrong perspective. Rather than fan the blames of fear and judge a man based upon what you THINK/BELIEVE he will do, why not reserve judgement until he at least takes office. Perhaps it would be best to understand how he came to be elected in the first place rather than warn of the sky falling. Americans are tired of the "Conservative vs Liberal" rantings of both sides. The GOP is claiming the country is center/right but attempts to govern from the far right. The DNC claims the country is center/left and attempts to govern from the far left. Why not wake up and smell the coffee? The country is CENTER! Look for the common ground rather than "the wedge issues" and you will not have to fear defeat. I have the perfect arguement against abortion using the lefts own terminology and reasoning yet my Christian brothers and sisters will not use it because it fails to mention the church. Grab the center Joel and then walk (not run) to the right.

Welcome back, the other David

Great post! You're right in the sense that it is more center, after all the Independents usually elect the president since both sides are pretty even with a 35% split (or so). I find my home at the right. The conservatives align with more of what I believe. Now, I don't always agree with the Republican party because they can be all over the page. I am a conservative first then a Republican when it comes to politics; a Christian first before an American.

Again, congratulations to the Democrats and we'll see how they govern in the next two years. I make those judgments in my post based on what the left believes and how they govern in cities like San Francisco, and Massachusetts.
