Download copies of the US Constitution and the Declaration of Independence for future reference. I suspect that you'd want copies of the Federalist Papers too, bearing in mind that soon these works may be discarded or made illegal as hate speech.

They would be scratching their heads in bewilderment how all this has happened.

They did not let us down (they may think that,"where did we go wrong")...it us who have failed them and the values that were installed back then. Time passes and people pass with time, but our values must not.
