taxdayteaparty.com

is the "official" site. Just click on your state. If you don't see your city in the list, check the comments; you may find a Tea Party in your city on a different date (like this Saturday).

Meanwhile, I'll be videotaping at the Colorado Springs Tea Party and will share our experiences on my blog.

I will be on Publius Forum

I will be attending the Chicago Protest today. You can see the coverage afterward at http://publiusforum.blogtownhall.com/

Tax Day Tea Parties

I'd love to attend, but as a producer for an ABC affiliate station, I'd probably get fired.

ABC will begrudgingly skim over these protests... and then go into great depth on the president's new dog.

San Antonio Tea Party

Yes, I sure am going! My neoghbors are providing group transportation. I have two Hiaku's for the event:

Oil, gas, airwaves:
Cow farts not withstanding now.
New revenue streams

They don’t work for us.
The death of a thousand cuts.
Born fee- taxed to death.

My Tea Party Experience in Chicago

Nothing too crazy. There were a handful of colorful but inconsequential happenings. I summarized the more substantive events in my blog.

Appleton, WI 5:30 pm-7:00 pm

A small city of about 72,000 people had well over a thousand in attendance at the tea party. (Madison, WI was reported to have had 5,000 earlier in the day by folks who attended both.) Everyone was respectful and enthusiastic. There was brief local TV coverage, but no politicians speaking. This event was organized by a local businessman.

There was also a leftist operative with an Obama t-shirt videotaping the crowd for over an hour straight. He just kept walking around and around documenting every sign, but only talked to a few people. No one acosted him, but I wonder where that video will end up? Perhaps he is sending it to DHS. LOL!
