The Irony of the Surge's Success -- How Obama is using the Surge's Success

Obama and the surge
I heard his comments and almost couldn't believe what I was hearing. He would have been wiser to admit he had been wrong and that the surge did work. I certainly would respect him more. As it is, he is so pumped up with political gas (smells a lot like flatuence) he will never admit he was wrong about anything. In fact, he is wrong about everything. God help us if he is elected. Good post - check out my blog for more about Obama - it's on Townhall - Pesky Truth. Regards.

Obama and the surge
Thanks for the comment. I totally agree with you completely that IF Obama had admitted that he was wrong about the surge, he would have gained some respect from me. Instead, Obama has some ill conceived notion that he absolutely cannot have any position that would somehow validate McCain's position on Iraq.

Ironic?
This guy doesn't know what to say when he get's caught in the crosshairs. He usually blunders out with the truth, he's gonna raise taxes no matter what, and he's gonna surrender to terrorists no matter what. He must drive his handlers crazy, that's why there are so few unscripted remarks. Welcome to Townhall Armanius!

Stammering
Thanks for the welcome and comment Dave. You are totally right that Obama rarely gives unscripted remarks, and hence, the minimal amount of press conferences and non-scripted "interviews." Almost without exception, Obama appears to struggle to answer the simplest questions even by the Obama friendly media. It's no wonder he refuses to go on town halls with McCain. Obama is the U.S. version of the ever stammering Hugh Grant. Except Grant's stammering is probably more scripted than anything else, unlike Obama.
