Tiller's Third Trimester Abortions

Lefties do not acknowledge that these are "babies" and not simply "tissue." I had an argument going on with dear Ivan as to exactly what is going on in that womb. As a Labor and Delivery nurse, as well as a mom and grandma, I know what is going on. I explained to Ivan and his compatriots that babies as young as 12 weeks have all their parts and are now just growing bigger and putting on fat and length. But Ivan refused to accept it and responded that I was lying. The left is incapable of learning, and will not tolerate facts which interfere with their dogma. SO I will say it again: babies in the womb are not tumors. They suck their thumbs, kick, wave, yawn, pee, open and close their eyes, practice breathing and stretch. Show me a "blob of tissue" that can do all that. I am beyond creeped out by the sick, disgusting likes of Tiller, Carhart, et al. As a Christian, I am to abhor the murder of Tiller. But as a Christian, how do I abhor the killing of the murderer? That it happened in a church (what congregation wanted Tiller as a part of their community?!) is ironic. Or, perhaps, poetic justice. "Vengeance is mine," I think God said....

Good points, Jan. Appreciate your medical & parental perspectives. They're not unlike mine, as a father and retired soldier. Not all soldiers carry guns.

I don't worry about the Lefties. Most, I lack the skills to reach. It's the supermajority who can see reason and reality, that I dare to persuade. Allow the supermajority to see the facts Lefties contrive to hide, then a democracy can pass laws to prevent Lefties from harming innocents without clear repercussions, yet still give Lefties all God's intended allotment of time in which to realize and try to make amends. As bad as he was, Tiller was not singular enough to qualify for Tyrannacide.

Like 'the poor', 'the evil' will always be with us. Every generation has a different incarnation, but all generations face evil. To borrow from Lincoln, some people will always want abortion, but most can be convinced there's no other logical human starting point than the moment of conception. Most can see, if only they can hear: no human embryo will ever become a dog or oak tree or anything else; given nutrition & shelter that all living things require, the human embryo will grow & develop until it's integrated enough recognizable form & function that it inevitably is unquestionably human at some point ... and there is no other logical starting point than conception ... except to people who see some people as sub-human no matter what.

It's the supermajority who can hear, understand, think, & reason: how Life is a prerequisite to both Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness. It is they, who have been hoodwinked by those few thousands who follow Margaret Sanger's beliefs in 'human weeds' that must be aborted. Sanger appreciated her luxury, even to having an affair during one of her honeymoons. Mother Theresa gave the answer: "It is a poverty that a child must die so that we may live as we wish."
