Colonel David Hunt keeps saying, "They just don't get it." So yes, it will take bombs in San Fran to wake them up. Of course I do not want this. No sane person does. However, short of that, some will see the enemy as the President and not the terrorists.

I am contacting political bloggers around the country since I am one as well. I hope this email is not an intrusion.

.. and therein lies the rub. The socialists / democrats (and 'decent' folk like your English teacher) don't know how to solve the problem, don't know *why* we're hated so passionately, and cannot cope with the idea that we are. Just like high school, the morally weak cannot stand to be disliked by *anyone* and will do whatever it takes to be liked. I'm not suggesting we should be feared like aggressive imperialists - but we should be feared like a sleeping giant who will not strike unless first struck. That fear is gone now because of folk like your English teacher who, having no answers and terrified of standing his or her ground, would rather surrender; then once surrendered, stand by to receive the accolades and praise of a world system slanted against the very ideals of personal and individual responsibility, self-defense, a free citizenry and market economy, and limited government.

If you decide to go to college when you graduate, the scorn and limited understanding displayed by your English teacher will only worsen; you'll be accosted from both sides - the staff of the college and your peers. It will take stern conviction and true grit to stand for your beliefs in that situation. By the tone of this post, I believe you have what it takes to do just that.
