The Immigration Debate: June 5, 2007

Huckabee...well, I'm not a fan. I don't see a lot of energy from him, or a lot of new ideas. That, and I prefer libertarian-leaning Republicans rather than the more populist types like Huck.

Hunter...I've already said I'm a fan, so I won't go further.

Gilmore...noticed you didn't mention him, that speaks volumes. Definitely does not belong in the race.

For the record I have not yet watched tonight's debate...I may watch it tonight while I pack (summer internship in DC).

I'll beef up Huckabee remarks tomorrow. I'll keep working on that piece. The tough conservatives are fine, but they need RR's personality (or Sarah's) to get elected. What's your internship in? I never get to DC, except occasionally I somehow end up in DC.

My comments on Sarah, two pieces, will go up next Monday. Personality/leadership is critical. Giuliani did very, very, very well tonight.

Palin: Good luck at the conservative think-tank. See what they think there about a blog-centric effort to push her to the front of the line. I have a background in this sort of stuff, but I'm not certain about how to proceed. See the comment about Huckabee on RedState.com. I'm hearing about them on CNN, and they're very positive.
