The Pathology of Socialism

John this one of the most Unbelievably excellent posts I've read. A direct hit and I can relate to it completely. I'm going to direct others from out of Minnesota to this one.

Anyways, very good post. Between parents who don't demand anything from their kids to the education system to the media to the ruling elite in DC...all the kids get is "free cheese for lazy rats!"

You hit a lot of raw nerves in this one and every one deserved the attention. It all seems really simple, but those on the other side can't seem to grasp the concept. Their plans, if successful, will literally kill the goose that laid the golden egg (the source of funds for all of their redistribution plans and giveaway programs).

You hit the nail on the head. The socialist views held by many liberals in this great nation is a dream that will never be realized, except promoting laziness.

stealing from the productive members of a society ostensibly to "give" to the less fortunate -- which by the way always has strings attached i.e. vote for me, or love me, or worship me -- is the socialist version of Robin Hood stealing from the rich to give to the poor.

What liberals fail to recall regarding one of their favorite legends is that Sir Robin of Locksley and his band of merry men were not stealing from the productive hard working so called "rich", they were recovering tax money levied by mere fiat under the evil Prince John's authority and collected (stolen) by the elitist, lecherous and corrupt sheriff of Nottingham from the people that worked for it. The tax money (property) recovered by Sir Robin and his merry men was returned to the rightful people that earned for it -- who were made to be poor by the tax collector.

Thank you, Aftershock, for pointing out the truth behind the often flawed "Robin Hood" analogy - Robin was, in fact, a tax protester - a Tea Partier!

you've got it down pat!!! Kids raised to expect handouts will be the leaders of tomorrow. We are headed towards socialism, if not communism, as it is. If we don't learn the lesson you've taught so well in this post, we don't stand a chance. Great work. Keep it up.

He ran against Michelle Bachman in '08 primaries and looks like he's using TH as a campaign tool for ad hominem attacks on conservatives.
