Not Ready For A Black President After All

Ready For a Black President

America is soooooo ready for a black president! And that is a good thing. It shows how far racism has receded into the past.

It just so happens that it matters what candidates think, and what their experience is. That is where Senator Obama strikes out.

Given two candidates of equal or near-equal policy positions and experience, I think the vast majority of Americans of any skin color would vote for the black candidate.

Yes, that's right. Just because of the color of his skin.

We are SOOOOOO ready for a black president, it's not even funny.

I wish Alan Keyes were a politician. He's too honest for that, and will never succeed in election politics. But if he were, I'd vote for him in a New York Minute because of his politics and policies... and yes, because of the color of his skin.

I yearn for a conservative black president. That would do more to pull the carpet from under the Democrats and unite this country than any single thing we could do.

Why We Don't Have A Black Conservative

You make my point PDX. There is no black African American conservative who has stepped up to take the arrows they would take as a candidate. The crys of Uncle Tom by such a majority of his own race would be deafening. If you thought the Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings were bad, the serious campaign for President by a black conservative would be attached beyond comparison. So conservatives and white moderates are not ready for a 60's black nationalist and the liberals and black moderates are not ready for conservative, free thinking, black person. Leading me to the conclusion that until more eyes are opened, we as a nation are not ready for a black President.
