Pray for Obama - pray for nation

Keep on working to help our country.

Too often we hear that a Christian’s duty is just to pay taxes and be law abiding and keep their mouths shut. That is certainly what corrupt politicians and immoral people want us to do. But that is not what is meant by “Render unto Caesar the things that are Ceasar’s ..” Jeus went on to say, “…and to God the things that are God’s.” We are servants of God. We owe Him service. He said to love our neighbors as ourselves. In a representative form of government, we have the opportunity to love our neighbors as well as ourselves by working to tame corrupt government so that it is less hateful toward Christian citizens and does not enslave any of its people.

Consider how God went about healing a land. There was always a prophet, a servant interacting with evil rulers, leaders, judges, preaching TO THEM for the nation to turn back to God, etc.

If you have not actively been involved in some way in trying to tame our government and make it less hateful toward its Christian citizens, then you have been taking and enjoying the fruits of the labor, sweat and tears of real Christian servants.

Pray, repent for failure to get involved, and do something God can bless and use to turn things around.

We cannot do more than pray until we have prayed, but pray and then turn the world upside down.
