DO WE REALLY HAVE AN "ENERGY" CRISIS?

Not the point

It is not that "we" have to bid on "the world market." "The US" isn't buying oil at all, independent companies are who then sell it to the consumer.

What matter sis that putting more oil on the market tends to lower the price for everyone, and thus benefits us as well.

A lot of the talk about oil is in strangely statist terms, as if "the US" bought oil from "the world". It is all still individuals buying and selling oil.

RE Not the point

So then what is this whole scam on drilling in Anwar if it is going out to individuals buying and selling oil to US consumers? So if the Saudi's decide to produce more oil for the market, what good is that going to do for us? If we lease the land in Anwar for someone else to exploit and go out to market foreign or domestic what is that good is that going to do for us consumers? What you are saying, is that the US putting more oil out into the market will benefit us, so what is the big deal if it is foreign or domestic? If the independent markets are more or less foreign this is just a political scam then. My question is, does anybody out there going to explain from A to Z the logistics of oil production from the ground to the market to the consumer in the United States? Who are the domestic companies or foreign companies selling us oil? Does anybody know, all I have seen so far are bits and pieces of commentaries that have no point of reference or context. May I deduce then that companies that will be refining the oil are the big players (BP) of this supply and demand game and that we are at their mercy?
