Nee, very touching

I'll check out the site, and take it from there.

Nee

Excellent post. These words NEED to be plastered all over liberals when they spew their shiesse about how foolish those who volunteer for service are.

Powerful

is the only way I can describe the essay by Sarah Albrycht - Soldier, Sword and Shield.

Put(z)ney and and other small-minded pundits insist on counting bodies, and decrying them as wasted lives. They cannot envision self-sacrifice for the benefit of others.

Sarah's essay will never reach their minds - or touch their hearts. They will never understand the ache of loss Sarah and the others along that road experienced as Pfc. Patrick A. Devoe II passed on way to his final duty station.

To Put(z)ney and his ilk, Pfc. Devoe is one more tick on their tally sheet, and honor is just a foreign concept.

Thanx, Nee

Will be visiting the site and I am grateful for your post!

Thanks, Guys....

I hope it helps! It's the least I could do.

Sarah's essay rocks!! I posted it on my diary at Red State hoping to spread the word there...no bites yet.

V-I Day Remberances

Nee,

First off thanks for posting Sarah's essay; a truly remarkable piece to which I can only say THANK YOU.

I remember one of the (far too many) 'Fallen Comrade' ceremonies I've witnessed at Bagram over the years. A young PFC and I watched the casket drive slowly past the Tillman USO Center on his way to the final flight home. Once arms were ordered, salutes completed, he queitly asked which unit the warrior under Old Glory had belonged to.

I replied that it didn't matter; he represented all of them.

All the units that had lost comrades, all the families that have lost loved ones, all of those who have fallen in defense of Liberty and our Nation.

As to the ceremonies themselves; they are a queit affair, no bands, no press, no speeches, no CAMERAS. Just a quiet, final salute to a fallen comrade.

Don't know why,but I had a hard time getting the donation through at Bob's site. It DID finally make it.

Clyde

I thank you for coming through, again. Bob called us the "cat's whiskers" today. I just hope we get him where he needs to be.
Thanks!!

Nee

Great post. I'll be visiting that site soon. God bless those who have served and those serving.

Nee, I will Visit This Site

this weekend. Thanks for putting it up.

they can't let it go

Nee, Rachel Maddow last night had to bring up the soldiers killed in Iraq the other day as a reminder we're STILL at War in Iraq. WHEN will Obama send the troops home?

Dash42

Thanks for stopping. I like the quiet. Have you seen the HBO movie "Taking Chance"? It is superb! You will cry, but you will wish it were this way for all of them!

Eric, Gray

I hope you can help out, Thanks for stopping.
There were actually trolls on the site saying nasty sheisse about hoping for it to fail.

Groan! Can of whoopass is what I need! :)

Davecat

I cannot stand that twit, or Ober-lib-man. They have no clue. But they have hate that they have to hang on or else why would they get out of bed every day?
