Hi Scuttlebut,

Your last paragraph makes one think. It's a good point, but it assumes that companies will obey the law, which they aren't doing now, so I don't have too much faith in wages going up.

But hey, send this post the the Bush speechwriting team; they could use it as a talking point :)

I don't think companies will obey the law. I think there are companies out there that will go out of their way to disobey the law. My point is just that after we legalize the 12 million illegals already here and give them guest worker status, there will still be the demand for illegals, so another 12 million will cross the border to fill the gap.
