Boy, do I agree with you, Phil. How frustrating that the GOP looks beyond the candidate who would be acceptable to Evangelicals as well as others. What's not to like?

It is a simple matter: he simply has too strange a surname. Sounds way too much like 'huckleberry' as in "Huckleberry Finn", which most people rightly recognize as a fictional name for a fictional character concocted by one of America's greatest authors.
