Officiating College Football, Too Tough

How true that is

Yes, there are moments in games when players are unnecessarily rough and a lineman moves too early, but let's get back to basics and just let them play the game. After all, if a team is no. 1, shouldn't they be able to beat anyone without the help or hurt of the officials? Let the zebra men return to the background and let the coaches worry more about their players' performance on the field and their play-calling from the sidelines.

So many useless penalties and scrutiny slow the game down and give the talking heads on TV way too much time to spout off their useless nonsense.

It's funny how for decades everyone in the country knew what a fumble was -- even kids playing in the backyard. Since the rule changes though, no one knows if a ball has fumbled or not without a video replay.

There's just something wrong in my view, when we watch a game at full speed -- but don't know what happened unless we see it in slow motion. Something about that isn't right to me.
