Obamadinejad & Ahmadinejad

Faked out

Iran will continue on with its nuclear program while "negotiating" with the West. Unless true sanctions are applied where Iran is truly isolated, sanctions and negotiations will likely not succeed. The Russians and French have billions invested in Iran. Most Arab nations probably do not see Iran as a threat. And Even GE is still doing business in Iran. I am afraid that nothing short of an Israeli strike will stop Iran. I hope I am wrong.

Why don't we

just block the Persian Gulf and cut off their energy supply? Would that not get their serious attention? Seems to me that should shake 'em up a bit.

Whatcha think the pesky truth might be?

Flashback

I remember being very young when the hostages were taken in Iran. When they finally did come home, I was like what a bad country. My dad would always say if we don't do something now, they are going to come back to haunt us. Yes, and here is Iran again.

They will continue to do the so called "negotiate." And whatever happens, Obama will blame Bush.

I was watching part of Hannity's America this weekend and I only saw a few minutes. Hannity was outside talking to the people. He came upon this young guy. He was asking him what he thought of Obama sitting down with Ahmahead without preconditions. The young man replied, "I am sorry, I don't know who that is." And yes, he was an Obama supporter.

The unfortunate thing is - we have crippled ourselves relative to our options - that is, we could do just as you suggest if we could get along without the oil from OPEC countries that come through the gulf. If we were producing a larger percentage of our own needs here - we'd be in a better position to do just that. As you know, that's one of the security aspects of the Drill Here, Drill Now movement.

As an old geezer, I remember all too well the impotent Jimmah Carter flailing at Iran. Say what you will about G. Bush, Iran knew better than to try something like that with him. Obama will be another Carter and will "invite" some similar actions - and we'll be too "progressive" to do anything but "negotiate." Obama's negotiations will consist of give and take. Iran will give him a hard time and Obama will take it.
