Stuck On Stupid Over Gas Prices

I saw a political cartoon in the paper about a week ago with some Suits playing jacks and a mom and kid walking by. The mother said, "No, Johnny, It's not a game. It's how they detemine gas prices."
I just about blew my top. If the person really was ignorant about the laws of supply and demand, they have no business drawing political cartoons and the editor has a responsibility to not print the cartoon. The only other possibility is that the cartoonist was deliberately misleading people to get a laugh. The first possibility is disturbing, the second scandalous.
It is about time the media did an hour long special on the real story of how gas prices are determined.
