Public Speaking: Bush vs. Obama

DW...

While Oback has a great voice and a talent for phraseology, and he is an attractive cuss, his own words, from his mind, without the teleprompter, are halting, unsure, gibberish of an empty mind.

While Bush is rather mono-toned, and stutters his words occasionally, when asked a question, you see Mr. Bush exhale, relax a bit, ponder, and then, in a steady voice, he answers the question fully, honestly, and with perfect grammar, all from inside his own head.

Bush has intelligence of his years, character, belief in himself, and the best education of ANY president in history.

Barack has education but no wisdom, yet. And not likely to gain any from the people he associates with. Barack has a chip on his shoulder, as expressed in Audacity of Hope, and considers any means into office justifiable by his "upbringing" as a "Black".

No comparison between the qualifications of Barack and ANYONE else.

There are a few more reasons why Bush is not very well liked by most people. We must not forget that Bush, like Obama, is a politician. I'm not trying to state my political preference, simply that some U.S. citizens do not agree with some of the issues that Bush advocated, just as most people that read this blog don't agree with Obama's point of view, regardless of any speech.

I am very surprised by the effect that Obama's speeches are having on the general public, but I think it's more than just his words that motivate people. I think it's that many people feel abandoned by large government. I don't mean that all who support Obama want government to be our daddy. I mean that Washington is dirty and corrupt and Obama has become a symbol of hope for something (anything) different in Washington. I doubt he will be since he is still a politician, but I think that the Republican Party's abuse of our trust has catapulted Obama to where he is now.
