Why Progressives Are Always Wrong

Very thought provoking article, albeit a little high end for this former division II 3rd String QB. I would argue, one could extend the classic Hegalien arguement of "synthsis" to the very nature of the progressive mindset..."progessive", denoting progress, change, "kinetic thinking" fails to account for absolutes and realism. This transends every thing in Progressive thought..economic thoery, social public policy issues, and national security. The latter one specifically, in that we see the pervasivness of multi-lateralism and Idealism in the very pragmatic and "ones and zeros" real-politick of national actors and non-stae assymetrical forces. Liberal Progressives don't see the intrinsic evil in actions or personalities that often provide primers in anticipation of strategic challenges from America's enemies. They have almost a child's mind set that "hopes" the bad guys will "come to their senses"...or, in the case of American Progressives, tey find only evil in what America does...

Great post. Progressives are all about action and passion. They are irrational and in fact eschew logic and common sense. People who understand at least intuitively the Law of Non-contradiction or the Law of Cause and Effect cannot understand what makes liberals tick. They tick but their timing is always off and their reasoning faulty. With SS, Medicare, and Medicade going bankrupt, who in their right mind would want to impose another entitlement on our country's taxpayers?

Clay, the "progressives" think that if they wipe the slate clean we can build from the ground up. Undoing Western Civilization - Newton, Da Vinci, Locke, Jefferson - all erased, so these progressive pseudo-intellectuals can start from scratch. Are these people just arrogant or extremely crazy?

By pseudo-intellectual I don't mean that they don't know anything - they just know so much that isn't so (to paraphrase a popular line).
