Christianity exposed

We Can Pray
Render unto Caesar...in a democratic form of government means to take part in the process. Our duty to government is to bring Christian influence - be salt and light- not just to pay for abortions and all the other evils our government chooses to subsidize because there has not been sufficient numbers of Christians willing to "soil their hands" in politics.

Yes, we have failed to win the lost, that is why we are so outnumbered by the immoral voters. Yes we need to Pray that the LORD will forgive us, heal America, and grant us peace.

Have you ever stopped to consider how God went about healing a land?
There was always a prophet, a servant interacting with evil rulers, preaching for the nation to turn to God, etc. If you have not been taking a part in trying to tame government and change it to make it less hateful toward Christians, then you having been enjoying the fruit of the labor, sweat and tears of true Christians who have been doing all the dirty work for you.

Pray, repent for failure to get involved, and then do something God can bless and use to turn things around.

We cannot do more than pray until we have prayed, but pray and then turn the world upside down.

There was always a prophet, a servant interacting with evil rulers, judges, and preaching to them for the nation to turn to God, etc. If you have not been taking a part in trying to tame government and change it to make it less hateful toward Christians, then you having been enjoying the fruit of the labor, sweat and tears of Christians who have been doing all the dirty work for you.

Time and Time Again

Your response is true. We are the salt and light which bring about change. My response is geared toward those who only see a political solution to our national problems. We end up in either of two camps when we only see our solutions in a political framework. Either we compromise our beliefs to satisfy the government, or we become so rigid in our faith that we begin tearing down our government. Both camps are wrong. Our first responsibility is to God, then to Government. I would never say to ignore politics as some did in the 50's, because while they became complacent, many bad decisions were foisted upon society. Prayer and Bible reading in school was lost because the church didn't fight to keep it. As a result we have been inundated with problems in schools and our children are being taught that there are no absolutes. However, without prayer we proceed without guidance and often with bad results. We are probably saying the same thing in opposite directions, but we cannot play politics without speaking words of faith and love. Politics without love comes like a sledge hammer breaking rocks, and we have seen enough of that last election cycle. In my book; The Church At The Edge of Time, I wrote; We as the Church cannot be blinded by the World and it's glitter or tantilized by cultural concepts. We are the one's who should be setting the standards for the World, not the other way around. However, we need God's guidance or wee risk compromising with the World instead of being the benchmark.
