America's Downward Spiral into the Abyss

I just comented on an article similar to this and will repeat my thoughts here. We have moved through three generations of spoiled rotten conditions in America. 9/11 snapped us out of it for about an hour and a half, and then it was back to the X-Box. I am a baby boomer, rapidly reaching retirement age facing what appears to be a perfect storm approaching. Policies foreign and domestic are circling like a whirlpool as our leadership decides to try to be the first country in history to spend it's way out of debt and rule without a true checks and balances system. The Democrats are one vote away at the Supreme Court level of becoming omnipitent. The Democrats cry foul when we compare what is happening now to Nazi germany and the Stalin and Mao tyrannies. Liberals do not seem to have the vision to see what could happen in the future. Even if Obama turns out to be the most benevolent President ever, who is coming after him? The executive powers he has taken in two months and the ones he continues to go after has put our form of self governance on the brink. The Germans had no idea Hitler was a tyrant in 1933. To spurn the wisdom of the founders who had the luxery of starting from scratch, with knowledge of thousands of years of what worked in government and what did not. The bottom line is we are going to suffer through real poverty and pain to get back our religian. Hopefully we won't drag the world down with us.
