Letter to Those At Home About Obama's Visit to Bagram

You know those games of "gossip" that you played as a child? Where one person says something, then passes it along to the next. By the time it's 10 people down the line, it's not the same message?

For the safety of CPT Porter and his family, PLEASE remove this posting!

Tiffany, here's the problem. To the readers and me you have one name, Tiffany. You have an opinion that you don't qualify.

If Captain Porter didn't want this email circulated, he shouldn't have written it or have told his family that it was confidential. If he wants me to remove it, I'll be more than glad to if he asks....but I don't know what good it will do....the New York Daily called this morning and told me that the letter is "all over the internet."

Captain Porter is welcome to contact me and ask that it be removed. I'll do it.

The New York Daily News called me this morning, however, and told me that the email written by Captain Porter is posted many times throughout the Internet.

Frankly, if he didn't want to stand by it, he shouldn't have written it. If he wanted his family to keep it confidential, it would seem he should have told them that.

I'm not planning to do anything for an unidentified person named Tiffany.

CPT Porter is a liar. I actually have met him and I am completely unimpressed. He is a disgrace to every soldier (including myself) serving out here. He may get court martialed, and he deserves every ounce of trouble he gets in for being an ignorant, liar. I am proud to serve alongside soldiers with integrity, as for soldiers like CPT Porter - he's about as trustworthy as the taliban out here.
