We're dangerously close to a tipping point in this country. Once the half that doesn't pay any taxes begins to demand more and more of the the less than half that do pay them, we're in deep Bessie droppings! And it'll be all the more aggravating because it will prove Brian's gloomy assessment correct.

I don't think it's implausible to expect everyone that receives the benefits of this great country to chip in SOMETHING in return for all of the benefits they receive.

Good post. My take on it is the thought EVERYONE ELSES' congcritter is a crook except MINE. Therein lies your problem. Once people see that the majority of the 'hats are there SOLELY for their own benefit,and NOTHING else,will we see a major change.Nice thing about being here in the PRoAA is NO REPUBLICANS run.The GOP long abandoned this area. The Republican caucus room at City Hall was turned into a breast-feeding room. Since I don't vote for incumbents,it is easy to vote against them.

I'm not sure seccession is preferable to outright revolution with the aim of taking our country back.

I sure can't explain it. We may have already reached that tipping point. People are scared and their fear is leading us to a totalitarian state.

I am not convinced that if we had to try and form a union today, as they did 1776, we would successful. A Russian analyst is predicting the breakup of the U.S. into 6 separate regions. Washington is not going to let that happen, not peacefully anyway.
