I live in Livingston Parish, Denham Springs area.
Seismic Exchange asked permission to check my land for oil thru a contract and paid $50 per lot to do this. But I was informed that this was niot anything but approval to check my land. After reading your article I am concerned about what I signed. Any advice? Confused.

I am sorry but I am an exploration geologist and not a legal representative or oil lease expert or land man...

I suggest that you may want to seek the advice of someone versed in oilfield land leasing laws & permits in your area in your state of Louisiana...
