The enemy of incentive

Good post.

I am getting tired of "no new taxes on a certain amount of money" line.

First off, start saying Federal. In CA, we have seen taxes go up for the last few months. We had an increase in our sales tax, various telecom taxes, cable usage, etc. And of course the old stand by, the smoke tax. They also are trying to raise the tax on gallons per gas. That got shot down once, but they want to bring that back.

So, no matter what you make, taxes will increase. Whether it is on a service you use or something you buy.

There has been a decrease in property taxes, but my parents have a rental home that has actually held its value and the property taxes went up on that. So, taxes are here to stay. They just might be called a different name.
