Barack Obama = Big Optics

Very true VOR

Never in history (American) has a president appealed so much to the people based on so little substance in his words.

It is like listening to unintelligible random noise, loving it, and attaching meaning and patterns to the emptiness.

What few clear thoughts and ideas Obama has successfully said has been frightening. IE: "We will transform this nation..." and "America must disarm it's nuclear weapons..."

It is all in HOW he says something, not what he says. And the sheep love and buy it.

Big optics is right. I predict he will continue the pattern of populism. When he really screws up? The sheep will cover for him. After all, the Messiah is too big to fail, right?

"Baaaa .. rack" .. went the media sheep

Another big problem is that the media is complicit in all this. Due to their 'annointing' of their candidate, his LACK of a record turned out to be Barack's greatest asset.

That is because the absence of a record acted as a wildcard - voters were free to superimpose THEIR individual agendas [from trivial to spectacular] into the 'hope and change' mantra.

My guess is that this got some (relatively small) percentage of right-leaning voters to vote for Barack Obama.
