Comment on: God Is Not Silent

Fairness Doctrine is Ruse

While on subject of fair doctrine, signs

are appearing of a widening crackdown to silence
dissent. God help America! I won't ask how did Americans let such a far left radical Obama talk his way into the White House, because I know. When the beguiled Obama Celebrity lovers accepted his scary background, they would forgive their SantaObama anything! His groupies
want the goodies and his race voted their own, a pride vote! Nevermind what is best for America.
So don't be surprised when Big Brother is watch-ing and freedom of speech is greatly censored!
Ex Democrat

I agree, but with hope

The current administration does not like dissent. I don't think they expected there to be much dissent when they came to office. They're truly surprised and confused by the dissent they're experiencing. Understand, however, that the Republicans have been just as willing to curtail broadcast speech as the Democrats. For the most part, that curtailment has been along lines that I don't generally disagree -- controls on obscenity, nudity and violence. However, it's small step from that to the Democrat censoring of what they deem "hate speech". Essentially, that's any speech that disagrees with their politics. I cannot predict where broadcast censorship will be in five years, but I would note that there's no way the administration can crack down on tea parties and townhalls. They can try, but they'll just have a reenactment of the civil rights movement marches and that's going to push them even closer to self-destruction in the 2010 and 2012 elections.
