No emphasis is being put on the the number of high paying oil field related jobs that available. And what would $700 billion a year, folded back into our own economy do for that economy? DD

Another excellent expose' of the dems villainous plans. DD was right, this whole thing stinks to high heaven.
And to think of all the high paying jobs that would be created.
We need to drill here, drill now. And, now we find out exactly why Pelosi and her cohorts are so against drilling.
That map you posted I read somewhere else about that too, about how much oil we actually have in that shale. And, here we sit with still nothing being done to get the oil. Each day that passes is more money to the terrorists we pay for oil.
My one wish is that we could throw out every last one of these pols in DC. But, I've said that before and people keep voting in these people like Pelosi and Waters.
And GG, I can't wait for your next installment.

That this "stinks to high heaven" is an understatement. Speaker Nancy Pelosi IS TRYING TO CONTROL THE ENERGY INDUSTRY in the USA (and make herself rich at the same time).
I will show more increased estimates for older oil fields in the US (via new USGS examinations) in future articles. The US is sitting on a "ton" of oil, more than in the rest of the world combined.
The Democrats want to control this oil, and all other energy sources.

I know you are being sarcastic (Hell... I don't blame Peloskyavich for trying to make some bucks); but this goes way beyond making a few dollars.
I see a definite "conspiracy" to control the entire energy market in the US by the Democrats. They will "dole" it out in a manner that will keep their base (Greenies, PETA, etc.) happy and keep the "peasants" (read you and me) from revolting. All the time, they are making their own fortunes.
And due to the amount of money involved, we are talking fortunes the size of "Bill Gates' fortune" or larger.
And the only time we the people can stop this (without shedding large amounts of blood) will be at the beginning.

The next installment will be more information concerning the USGS "reviews" of oil contained in US existing oil fields and formations.
Or, perhaps the next installment will be more on the conspiracy I now definitely see in the Democrat Party to control the entire energy market (oil, natural gas, coal, nuclear, wind, solar, etc.) in the US.
The USGS reports show we have more energy (in the form of oil, natural gas, and coal) than perhaps in the whole world put together.

to this particular Communist conspiracy, anyway.
I've been saying it for years. They create a problem by legislating out any alternative solutions, then they promise to "fix it" through government oversite and/or takeover.
Waters let it slip earlier over the oil industry. But they've been working on it for some time. They are doing the same thing to the health care industry. They already have education (if only they could shut down those d@mn home-schoolers!)
And if a few of them can make a bundle in the meantime, so much the better.
My big question is:
What's next??

I am scared to think, "What's next?"
If the Democrats control the energy market, they control everything (unless somebody comes up with a "cheap" cold fusion technique that anyone can make in their garage).
However, I don't believe that 50 years ago, the Democrats planned this. I believe it "grew" as they got more corrupt.

on digging this up. I will copy and send all three of your fine articles to all I know.
I have known, from reading various small reports, that this was going on. But did not know to what extent!
I was (am) going to vote for McCain/Palin for the very reasons your articles covers. Talk about abuse of power! Peloski and all envolved should be prosecuted and put in prison! Along with the MSM enablers!
There has been a great deal of talk about political parties, and who stands for what. Well, as an independent, and believe in conservative principles. I have no allegiance to a particular party.
My allegiance is to our country and it's well being. And that is the principle I stand on. Sure, the Republican party has disappointed many of us in not adhering to strict 'conservative principle.' But there is no such thing as a 'Conservative Party.' It is only through the Republican party that conservatives are heard at all.
The Democrat party is completely taken over by Liberal/ Socialist and Communist factions! It is Democrat in name only. The Communist bragged years ago how they would undermine and take over our country. They have succeeded very well as can be seen by all the Liberal/socialist controls placed upon us.
And now, they want to drive the final nail into the coffin. And bury us by electing the Marxist/Communist Obama to the Presidency! Parties be dammed! Even though I have only one vote, I will use it in an effort in trying to keep this take-over from happening!

There is also another stinkbug in the Pickens scheme. He wants $2500 to $7500 per vehicle, ponied up by the taxpayers, to retro-fit cars for natgas. Further, a requirement for every filling station in the country to have a natural gas nozzle.
I asked my local retailer what it would cost him and he became nearly hysterical. This is corruption at a high level.
I understand why the democrats are silent and the press isn't interested in the current congress' debate but where is the "reformer" ticket's voice on this issue? Nothing on Drudge.
I have to say the silence is deafening, from all quarters.

Where was the "reform" ticket on this issue all week? Silence. Palin is supposed to be the drilling poster child and capable of whipping McCain into line, right? Could it be that the dog really does wag the tail?
This race is close. The people want drilling. This is about as big a no-brainer as I can see for a political issue. Unless of course McCain wasn't really honest about drilling offshore.

Worse than insidious, I am also seeing a "movement" to restrict drilling in previously discovered oil fields using new technology. Two old friends (both "wildcatters" who for the last 25 years have been drilling water wells) mentioned to me that the Feds are "ramping" up rules concerning the process of getting more oil out of old fields.
Whether it is a planned "slow down" or just a natural progression of the bureaucracy, I just don't know.

Unless we have "a straw that broke the camel's back" moment (like a federal confiscation of all handguns), the Liberals/Socialists/Marxists will continue in their game plan of "death by a million cuts".
Therefore, like you, I have decided to vote McCain/Palin. But not because of McCain, but in spite of McCain. Sarah Palin as VP is the best way I can see to work within the system and set up for 2012 and beyond. An O'Vomit presidency is not something I want to endure.

Have you ever thought about acting like your namesake and "fighting" the system? "A fop by day....."
Like you, I use to think that "conspiracy" nuts were just that, "nuts". I am not so sure anymore.

I think I've figured out "What's next" and it affects US!
Noises are being made about electricity generation and transmission. Gore says greenicks should excercise civil disobedience to stop generation plants. Biden says no coal plants. And through additional regulations they are resticting other aspects of the industry (think NESC / NFPA 70E / OSHA). (Disclaimer: NFPA 70E and arc flash is my specialty.) They are slowly going to regulate the industry into a crisis state.
It won't be long before TVA is not the only federal transmission/generation company...
At that point they will, along with oil, control the whole energy sector.

Redhead: 35 Years Ago...
I worked for GE. My boss's boss was Jack Welch. Jack said the same thing 35 years ago; he then stareted taking GE out of the Electric Power business. No more substation transformers (Rome, GA and Pittsfield, Mass), no more distribution transformers (Hickory, SC), no more large steam turbines (Schenectady, NY), etc.
You have a point, and a scary one at that.
Even worse, I worked for TVA (Florence and Huntsville, AL). I saw plans for expanding TVA from the Mississippi River to cover the Eastern US.
Bonneville Power was shown on these maps as controlling the Western US.

It is that simple we can continue to work on other energy programs but in the meantime we should drill as well. We would have a windfarm right now on Cape Cod if it were not for Edward Moore Kennedy and John Forbes Kerry cause it blocked their view. I wonder if the desired placement for the windfarm was say.. South Carolina,
You think their position would be different...

""I use to laugh at conspiracy theories (the JFK assassination, Bigfoot, etc.), but no more. As The Monkees use to say: "Now I’m a believer." ""
Sometimes the conspiracy theory just has to hit close enough to home for us to recognize it as more than "just a theory".
One man's theory is another man's reality. huh..
Just theories depends on your past and present experience. Thanks for getting on board. There are several more large and important "just theories" out there, and they are trying to eat our lunch and have it to. And further more, they are so far getting their way in almost all cases..
I don't know if you can call it a brave new world or maybe just the same old world, Europe, that we always had just out of sight. A few rich and powerful, and the many without a true voice.. The MSM is just a few more of them doing what they have to do to join the old boys (and girls) club. The commentators you see on your TV screen are just employees carefully screened and trained to follow orders. Their bosses (owners) are the true cuprits who are part of the new owners of humanity..
We are NOT just in danger of losing the constitution, we have already lost it, unless some very determined pig farmers want to take it back.
