Carter

I wasn't around when the Peanut farmer was running things, but the one good thing I'll say about him is that he didn't get to make any SC nominations. I've heard that Ford was kind of a moderate (like McCain) and Carter wasn't very experienced (like Obama) Maybe the good news is, if the worst happens, we can get a real conservative in 4 years.

interesting post...

I think that the problem is with both parites. Like you say in your post, we just got out of 8 years of republican rule where we received bigger government, larger defects, inefficient government, etc. The only problem is that when the democrats come in we are going to get the same thing - trillions in spending, foreign entanglement, more earmarks, more government, more taxes. I think that the problem is that both parties have become drunk on government and political power.

What we really need to do is one of two things:
1. kick both parties out and start a new party
2. take over one party and start over from scratch.

We need a party that is going to be for:
limited government
balanced budgets
no foreign entangelments
term limits for congress and the senate
no earmarks
line item veto

I could go on ...but if you feel like minded please feel free to view my blog at http://currentstateoftherepublic.today.com/ and currentstateoftherepublic.blogtownhall.com

I look forward to hearing from you ..
