Reagan signed two of the biggest tax increases in US history in his second term.

Reagan granted amnesty to illegals.

Reagan signed a bill greatly expanding abortion rights in California.

Reagan's appointment of O'Connor was fullfilment of a campaign promise to put the first woman on the SCOTUS...ie affirmative action.

This is why Republican new voter registration actually DECLINED this election cycle, not even its' standard bearer could escape the label of RINO if he were running today. The GOP has marginalized itself into a corner.
