Yes, we need Repubs with guts so I wonder where and how we got Bush and McCain.

Part of the problem is the cross-over vote option in New Hampshire and elsewhere. It seems that anybody can vote on R candidates. FL, somehow, allowed McCain to win.

We have sickening enemies, like Colonic Powell, in our own party. We have had a history of wimps like Eisenhower, Nixon, Rockefeller, Dole, Bush 1& 2 and others like Arhnold in CA.

Many think we need something like the Conservative Party in NY State. That would be a 'sector' party, bigger than a splinter but large enough to influence who runs and what their platform might be. That is where gov Pataki came from in NY.

The notion that we should accept liberal views in our party so we just look like them is folly.

The morality of our society is degenerating and we have lost our way. Perhaps the oncoming depression will shake up those who voted for O'Bozo for 'change,' whatever that means.

We are going to have to wait and see how the fed handles the economic crashes in CA, NY , NJ and Michigan. We could just 'subsidize' these losers with printed money. Who needs taxes when the government can just print money?

A depression will change the politics very quickly. That is on the way.
