A Challenge to TH Bloggers

Amen Garnet!

I might go "down"; but I will go down fighting.

It may well be, garnet92, that it's

because I'm a full order of fries -- and possibly a Diet Coke as well -- short of a Happy Meal, and I've been public -- both herein and elsewhere that my nine-month foray into DOING something failed completely; but "We're watching you" doesn't seem to me to be well-conceived.

In my almost-always-humble opinion, one doesn't defeat a Democrat by warning or chastising that Democrat. If I remember correctly, you've identified 10 Democrat targets. Have you identified, recruited, and begun to support 10 opponents for 2010? Are they true conservatives with knowledge, intelligence, communication skills, and nads?

Garnet

I have heeded your request and sent emails to 9 of the 10 since Kilroy (will mail to her) does not have an email address. I am willing to try anything that may help.

Agreed Gray Ghost

We conservatives have been too quiet for too long.

Thanks for the comments, drpete

Recruited candidates? Surely you jest.

We HAVE identified the ten opponents and will publish them shortly - but you expect US to recruit candidates? It's not my job, as is often said.

And as far as vetting the candidates to be knowledegable, intelligent, with nads and communication skills? I gather that if the opponents lack one or more of those attributes, you would disqualify them as not being worthy and leave the ten democrats in office? What good would that "high road" accomplish? Nada.

C'mon, doc - get realistic.

Patrick - your name should go up in

LIGHTS. That is EXACTLY what we're trying to promote. Thank you for taking action. We're anxious to see how many will take action like you did. That is a start - of what I hope will be hundreds (if not thousands) of WWY letters bombarding these reprobates.

EVERYONE TAKE HEED - Patrick send his e-mails and he didn't turn to salt nor did his computer erupt in flames. I'll bet it didn't hurt one bit.

Patrick TOOK ACTION - let's all follow his lead!

As someone who's already

admitted that his elevator doesn't ascend all the way to the penthouse, garnet92, and I now admit here on TH for the first time that I was in the bottom half of my high school class, I bow and genuflect to your Mensa mind.

I'm thinking that with a current roll call of 256 Democrats, 177 Republicans, and 2 vacancies, knocking off the 10 easiest Democrat targets should turn the tide and fully restore the constitutional republic.

drpete, one more try

C,mon doc, you don’t wear sarcasm well and there’s no need for it. No one has ever said that replacing ten dem reps will magically return the majority to the Republicans. Believe it or not, even Mensans can count and I know how many seats need to be turned to take control.

Your ongoing theme seems to be “perfection or nothing.” If we can’t replace House majority members in toto with Ronald Reagan clones, it’s an exercise in futility. My position, and I have yet to see you state WHY it is ill-conceived, is that we can BEGIN a process of slowing (and eventually halting) the rampant enactment of laws that go against the Constitution, damage the economy, and take away liberties. Why is that not also your goal – if you really are a conservative? WWY is not the long-term goal, it is a first step - putting the brakes on a runaway Congress, slowing it first, then stopping it, and finally turning it around.

For the life of me, I can’t understand why an obviously smart man can’t seem to grasp that notion? Or, do you just get your kicks out of being argumentative? I’ve not seen your realistic alternative solution offered? Please – enlighten us.

I have and I will

I looked, you conquered. I write each day. I also use NumbersUSA, many other sites to continue to blast the liberal secular hateful socialist mentality that is murdering our, my values, freedoms, liberties. I have donated to many in just his election cycle. Drop by my latest blast up today, "You are there." Blessings on your passion.

DrPete

What's your problem? Your comments here, especially the last one, drip with sarcasm and disdain. Your frequent claim re: your "humble opinion" is 99% BS. Your opinion is not humble, it's acidic, frequently insulting, and more often uncalled for. Petty cheap shots at fellow bloggers who are trying to accomplish something is definately uncalled for and unappreciated. You need to take a look at your attitude.

If you thought, Bobbie, that my first

comment dripped with sarcasm and disdain, then I need to hang it up. Having been told that surely I jest, that I need to get realistic, and that my implied suggestion would accomplish "nada", I was sarcastic.

Though my blogposts have identified believed paths to correcting SOME of the nation's ills, and explained them in excruciating detail, and though I've posited what I believe is likely the only path to saving America, I've also made clear that I think it's game, set, match, game over. America is toast.

It is my opinion that we're in the middle of a tsunami and garnet92, et al, have committed to filling and placing ten sandbags . . . and placing them where they're least likely to be needed. Finally, I admit a priori that my attempt at explanation to you is likely even less called-for, and unappreciated.

Sorry, Bobbie . . . and garnet92.

Garnet

I know that this healthcare bill has indeed flooded the phones and mail with letters such as yours. Keep it up.

garnet

I cannot download the letter. Is there a way to put it in a mode for me to use that letter instead of the ones I have made up??? Grayson, already heard from me and I did not get lit up yet. Sorry I am such a computer illiterate.

gonna do it

tomorrow when I have a printer that's working...

been there

and read it. Not certain about the efficacy of the process. But I do know this, it's a bunch more useful than sitting around griping about how bad 'things' are.
Also, I know that what the Pres**ent has done is to bury me with just a bit more than 9 times my normal budget in Stim-Porkulus funding. Having enormous problems trying to make a goofy process work and would really like to keep my job if possible. Very unlikely to be able to do much but will get the letters out.

Also

More than just a little unhappy with Town Hall since the spammers have taken over so well. Right now of the top twenty posts nine are selling junk from the chicoms. TH seems unable or unwilling to drop the spammers accounts and so it continues.

Garnet

Doing something sure is better than doing nothing.I'll check your site out.I,however, would prefer a meteor hitting D.C. A new start is EXACTLY what is needed there.

Endorsement

As Bobbie requested me to look at this and We Are Watching You site, I put up a plug for the site, and this post. Hope you don't mind.

Oh, one thing I especially like about the idea is, win or lose, whether we replace these Democrats or just give them a stronger challenge, we win. If they lose, we get Republicans in office. if they win, they have still been warned not to just rubber stamp administration proposals. So, no matter what, we are better off than we were.

So quite a good idea.

Excellent...but some questions...

...and these are not belligerent challenges, but truly a questions of fact: will a Dumbocrat pay attention to those who are not his/her constituents and therefore have no say in voting him/her out of office? What if one is not financially able to contribute "significant funds" to the Dumbocrat's opponent?

On the other hand, can it really hurt to inundate them with messages that indicate support for their opponent, financial if nothing else, in the next election? (Um, would you really support the Dumbocrat in the next election if they voted against the healthcare bill?)

I like your idea and your work in putting up the website with the letter all made up and ready to sign, seal, and deliver. It is a model for other such efforts. I just wonder about the efficacy given the above questions.

FinalRac, sounds like you share the

passion. I think we all recognize that we need to DO SOMETHING to halt this skid into oblivion. Thanks for visiting WWY. It is a start, only a start, but it is something that we all can do.

Right Eric, that piece of crap needs to

be stopped or we all will be sorry.

Don't know what the problem is Final

but not to worry, I'll send you a copy via e-mail attachment. Be looking for it.

Thanks Craw, we need your help

all of us together could make a difference. How bout a mention with a link to the WWY website in an edition of "The Weekly Claw"? That would be helpful due to your following.

That's ok Gar

the letters are important. We know that in these difficult times, not everyone can contribute cash, but can still contribute via sending the letters. Thanks for participating.

It appears that no one is filtering

blogs for being pure commerical operations. I've wondered about that myself. I think that the TH blog operation is a orphan operation that no one pays much attention to.

Clyde, if I were the Czar of Meteors

I'd send a shower down on DC. It'd be eash to gather them all together - just tell them that George Soros ORDERS them to attend.

Agreed, this project is just our way of channeling our frustration into DOING SOMETHING.

andrews, YOU ARE A GEM

Thanks so much for posting an endorsement of the WWY project. We ENCOURAGE all of our brothers and sisters on TH to post a short bit about the WWY website (with a link). This is not about Pesky Truth or Garnet92 - I am but one of a group who are trying to do something positive to bring about change that will return our government to Constitutional operations. We all need all the help we can get.

Many thanks for your comment and your post.

Both good questions Interface

It certainly is possible that staff will note the address of the sender and file it in the circular file. But, they will have at least have read part(s) of it and if they receive 50 or 100, there will likely be a mention of that to the candidate. That is the least of what we hope to accomplish - staff will be aware of us even if the candidate won't.

And no, we wouldn't support the dem even if they vote against ALL the Pelosi bills. Mainly the thought is - we're trying to influence them BEFORE the 2010 election to slow/stop Pelosi's rush towards "enslavement" of America's citizens.

Letters sent

Friday, the Colorado Springs 9-12 Project will go and protest the local Democrat Senator's office, the Thiniking American will be there with a sign that says "We do not agree with Mao".

Thanks Joe

I'm writing this after seeing Fox News call both VA and NJ governor races for the Republicans. That can only help our drive to take the Congress (and government in general) back from the liberals. Sending the letters is just one part of what we all must do to help our country.

Great Timing, Garnet

The base concept at We're Watching You plays into the elections just held yesterday. Yesterday's results demonstrate that those of us who have been called every name in the book are bonding together under the banner of principles, not labels and "party affiliation" per se.

I have sent the site address to all in my address book this A of M. I expect these folks will in turn send it to others.

My compliments to all ...

Challenge accepted!

By the way, I watching Beck show today, with the Judge sitting in for him and the Judge was interviewing Rep. Bachman from Minnesota. She kinda made a reference about how "we're watching you" when talking about those planning to vote for this abomination of healthcare "reform". She was trying to get as many people as possible to get to DC tomorrow, Friday or Saturday to go through the halls of Congress and video those who say they're voting for it while they try to explain to the people exactly why they're voting for it.

Thanx Mrs. AL, you done good

Yes, timing is good after yesterday's successes. Shame we missed on Hoffman. I hope people will be paying attention and want to be part of the parade to victory and the return to sanity.

Doesn't surprise me, Dan

I've been trying to develop an ESP-like link to Michele and apparently, it finally worked. I've not been successful in getting Sarah Palin to come knocking on my door though. I'll keep trying.

I'd love to see several thousand show up tomorrow.

Its Worth Doing

We are where we are because a lot of people have said, "What difference does it make?" What you're asking is so easy to do there's no reason NOT to do it.
