Long Live Edmund Burke - Part One

Thanks for the commentary on Edmund Burke, our second greatest exemplar. I named my blog, Letters from an Old Whig (http://oldwhig.townhall.com), in honor of the great Mr. Burke.

You know, it is the same ignorant arrogance and foolishness that tempts men to believe that they alone can perfect mankind through the creation of theory-based institutions and social experimentation as that which anciently tempted men to build a tower to heaven. We know in advance the ultimate failure of the former because we know the end state of the latter.

Burke is a genius awaiting recognition by right-thinking men everywhere. Your choice of a BLOG title is quite appropriate. I look forward to reading your entries.
