Will Article III Remain Relevant?

If Obama and his criminal
coharts in the house and Senate have their way, they'll shred not only Article III, but the whole Constitution. IMHO, Obama's goal is to create a total dictatorship here in our USA. Nothing he is doing is by mistake. It's intentional. As for the AIG situation, the hypocrisy makes me sick. What a crock to feign anger and upset when our "representatives" knew about the bonuses, protected them then lied through their teeth and point the finger of blame at everybody but themselves. And the brain dead in our society are cheering them on and believing them to be proectors of the "people". I don't know who I'm angriest with; our rotten, corrupt Government or the idiots that support them.
Good post. Thanks for the heads up.

Great piece. This is the type os situation Bastiat addressed directly in "The Law", calling it government plunder of individuals.
I would think that things that were known over 150 years ago (in France, of all places) would still be known here today. How unfortunate for us that is not the case.
I agree with Bobbie, this is by design. Remember, O believes the Constitution to be a flawed document, to be changed at will. This is fundamental to where he is coming from and where he wants to take us. Your point, that he will seek to override or skirt the judiciary, is well taken.

I agree, it IS intentional. Obama's goals have been clear from the beginning. This is just another tactic to undermine the Constitution in preparation for his self-styled kingdom.

Obama's contention that the Constitution is a “flawed” document should have been a wake up call for America (and the rest of the free world).
I am still angry at myself though. Even knowing that, it took me a while to recognize just what kind of game plan he has in mind to avoid the Constitutional checks and balances. The rest is the diversion. The real target for now is the courts.

I think they know what the constitution states, they either just choose to ignore it, or flat out hate it. To that degree I have yet to figure out why! They must hate us being the greatest country in the world.

Saltwater, you and I are thinking
much the same things. Your comment on my blog prompted me to come check out the Crow's Nest. You have detected a strain of a political strategy that is so insidious as to be unbelievable. The courts have ALWAYS been the favorite branch and method of the Left. Why would they abandon the courts when they can get friendly rulings? Because they don't need them anymore. They are moving much faster with legislation now that they have full control of Congress and the White House. The courts are SLOW! By the time cases are heard over these bills of attainder, etc., it'll be the 3rd or 4th year of the Obama Administration. Let the Supremes TRY to reverse all the un-Constitutional crap they are gonna throw at us.

Thanks for stopping by.
Our stature as a wealthy superpower is only cover. They would feel the same if the USA was dirt poor, having a military armed with slingshots. Their problem is with individuals having rights and freedoms protected from state interference. They lust for power – and what greater power than complete control over peoples' lives? They wouldn't care if every American were a millionaire – just as long as they could dictate how, when, where, and on what the money was spent. They dream of being in position to dictate who farms, who drives, who sews, who cooks, who is a mechanic, who is a scientist - who lives, who dies.
Many of us older folks have seen the kind of world they envision in distant countries brought under the boot heel of totalitarianism. We continue to fight and educate the newest generations, knowing the future of our beloved country is in the hands of the young, such as yourself.
No pressure, Kid.

The courts are indeed too slow for the grand march – even with friendly rulings. Then there is still the possibility of the courts ruling against the left as they push their agenda. Either way, the courts are in their path, and must be bypassed or eliminated for them to fully succeed.

Great analysis of the situation.
It is my understanding that AIG is the insurer of Congresses' pension fund. Maybe they just want to make sure THEIR future is protected while throwing out the Constitution in the process for the rest of the Citizenry. Is flogging still an option -- tic
Keep rubbing that salt into those wounds!!

Good points. I have read much about the U.S.S.R, talked to people who have lived there, and even been to eastern German, which looks much better than I heard it did when the USSR occupied it. Something that I definitely do not want! I wonder if the leftists knew how many people tried to escape east Berlin, to get to the American occupied side in West Berlin, or has anyone ever heard of a mass migration of immigrants to the USSR? No! You are exactly right. It's all about power. I know many of my friends do not want this, but it seems more uninformed idiots my age think spreading the wealth is a good thing. We'll continue to try and educate people by showing them history and it's mishaps, so that hopefully we don't follow suit.

Disqualify the Judicial
I think his intention is to scrap the Constitution. The first thing he must do is to disqualify the judiciary. Once the judiciary has no power, he can make up law as he goes. Isn't that the way most totalitarian dictators start?

Article III
Excellent essay, Saltwater. I am not a scholar of the Constitution and I did fall asleep in Civics when they still teached it, but I do NOT believe the Constitution is a breathing, living, changing thing. I do not believe judges should bend the law to fit their agendas but they should abide by the rule of law as written. Somehow along the line, they changed it that laws were written to be broken, massaged and interpreted. Courtrooms became theatres. And now, jurors twitter and use blackberries. A downward spiral and I do not have an answer ....

IRC Is Not A Law
It is an act of Congress to further their authority under the Constitution. Taxation has been used to punish through out the history of taxation.
Why would anyone question the power of politicians to punish people or use their power for political gain? It has been the historical norm.
The Constitution is just a piece of paper, file it away and forget about it.

When will
the Constitutional Resurrection begin?
The goal of the O Administration is the complete destruction of our nation, starting with the Constitution and capitalism, and continuing through the mass influx of illegals to be given amnesty, and then to the muslim terrorists being let in freely, and culminating with a nation under Sharia Law.
He was born muslim, and since the muslim states have not declared a death sentence upon him, then he must still be one.

notice
that companies that might "need" bailout money are now saying they won't take anything from the government because they don't want CEO Obama running their company, firing execs, and taxing them 90% of their bonuses or income. I doubt Obama wants to stop at just taxing their bonuses. Him and the radical lefties want more. Someone needs to take this President and Congress to court and do it fast before it is too late. It's a dark day when a President can fire someone from a private company. I don't care if they took public money or not. We have presidents, not kings and dictators. Damn, we need to wake up!
