All TOO SOON, they will be asking for the car keys and leaving you home alone for the evening while you gnaw your fingernails to the bone when they are 5 minutes past their scheduled return because they stopped to top off the gas tank for you....

And yes, Motherhood/Fatherhood is the most noble of all jobs, the most important and most devalued. Heck, we even devalue ourselves at times!

We might never become world famous or cure cancer, but if we've done our best, in our imperfect ways, to love and teach our little ones, that is of more eternal value than any wordly accolades.
