Ron Paul and the Paul-istas are Trying to Ruin the GOP

Ron Paul Can Only Fix What Is Ruined

A comparison between the words and rhetoric of Ron Paul and Ronald Reagan finds a significant number of similarities.

I find it odd that the end of this article there is praise for the armed services... the same armed services that OVERWHELMINGLY contributed to Ron Paul's Presidential campaign when compared to the other Republican candidates.

If Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan were trying to 'ruin the GOP' then perhaps Rep. Paul and the 'Paul-istas' are trying to do the same. I think a valid argument could be made that George Bush 'ruined' it already. At least according to the voters.

GOP is already Democrat Light

You say we are trying to make the Republican Party "Democrat Light". I have news for you, it already is! THAT is what the vast majority of us "Paul-istas" are fighting. We ARE the conservative wing of the party. Yes, there are a few truly crazy Ron Paul supporters, some of whom were members of the Democratic Party, but the VAST MAJORITY of us have either always been Republicans, or left and joined the Libertarian or Constitution Parties as the Bush legacy started destroying the party (The Constitution Party came directly out of the GOP).

You say you would rather have a party that is morally right and stands on conservative principles then be subject to compromise. That 'this is the only way to push the right agenda for America. We must stand for our principles and fight for what we know to be right.'

Sir, that is exactly what we are doing. Along with the RLC, we are the conscience of the Republican party. We are the principled wing, fighting for conservative values even when our own party leadership is against us. You think (either) Bush is a conservative? We blame the Democrats for socialism, but look at what W did the last 8 years? Look at the spending, the bailouts. It is outrageous.

You mention "Lower taxes, border security, reduced pork barrel spending", sir, add reducing the size of the federal government and that is what we are all about. We disagree on the best way to handle terrorism, but you are not even willing to discuss the issue or understand our point of view.
