I agree with your article, well written... "It is wiser to find out than to suppose." I suppose the UN Sanctions authors and UN Inspectors would feel different. We were working with all the nations; drafting sanctions after sanctions to determine what Iraq and Saddam had or try to hide. All the nations had faulty intelligence in this case... which is surprising. Iraq and its leader, Sadam choose to make a mockery of the free world by playing a cat n mouse game and might have had the last laugh. Eventually, you have to back those failed policies with muscle... even if it lead to our current position.
