Immigration argument

American Civics 101

To respond to your inane assumptions about American policy and immigration on the one hand seems rediculous on the other it is necessary. One cannot allow such mindless utterings to go unanswered.
First and formost: Our govrnment's primary responsibility is to protect our borders and secure the home land. This doesn't just mean from terorist but from anything that could upset our well being and this certainly means economic.
However, it isn't just our government that classifies people who are visiting this country, legally or non, as non citizens. The dictionary does that. How else could they be classified? They are not citizens.
Have you heard of the rule of law? We are a nation of laws. Individuals coming here without correct documentation are breaking our law. Why don't you think that important?
In order to take up residency in this country, many of these entering illegally and the individuals profiting from human traffiking, have resorted to stealing documents from "American Citizens", it's called idenity theft. Big crime!!! And I'll bet that if you had been a victim of this crime, you might think differently of those committing the crimes and their "noble" purpose for doing so.
I believe that your second point is " illegals are stealing jobs" Your answer to Americans objecting to this is that they should go to school. I wonder why you wouldn't want to give some advice to those crossing our borders illegally;
"Stay at home and fix your economic problems. Kick out leaders that keep conditions so deplorable in your country that you find it necessary to leave a country you apparently love, if your demonstrations last Fall are being correctly interpreted. If you would expend a fraction of the energy that you use tricking your way accross our borders and into our society, marching and protesting in our streets,
and learning to circumvent our laws, you could bring about some serious reforms. You could take pride in the country of your birth, you could live in the sun instead of the shadows, you could speak your language and keep your culture, all of which it seems apparent that you value. But wouldn't it be better to value it in your own country, a country you have worked for and a type of government that would assure to it's citizens the same freedoms the same liberties the same opportunities for success that you are now having to crawl through ditches, ford rivers, climb fences, die in deserts, be robbed by human traffickers, lie, cheat and steal, in order to "borrow" from a country to whom you have no allegience".
Your answer to points 3 4 & 5 is: " so are Americans". The operative word here is: Americans. Americans are citizens of this country, they pay taxes and hopefully obey it's laws, as a result they have a right to it's various resources whether it be medical, welfare, or penal. You see, it really does come back to citizenship and if you have a problem with that go back to school, take a civics class and learn how to change our Constitution. You mentioned one other item that causes concern; you mentioned voting. It is positively scary that one with such limited understanding of our Country, our Constitution, or a regard for our American way of life actually can VOTE. But, our Constitution even provides for the stupid, the illiterate, the unformed.
