The Politics of Fear

Nice Satire

You have illustrated well the hypocrisy of the Democrats.

Very Well Said...

...however, you left out the destructive forces who fund the fear mongering Republicans. I'm talking, of course, about the pharmaceutical industry.

This "so-called" industry actually expects us to PAY for medicines that would save our lives. This amounts to nothing short of terminal blackmail. They might as well call it "protection money", reminiscent of the gangland and dirty cop tactics that prevail in all inner cities.

Medicine, that we need to live, should be free.

Don't forget...

We have to make it known that it was the deregulation that Reagan forced upon us that has caused the current crisis. It is nothing but racist and class-ist to suggest that there is something wrong with making sure everyone has an affordable home even for people who have had a minor setback (haven't even looked for work in eight years).

When Chris Dodd killed the attempt to reform Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac it was only because Republican scare-mongers, full of lies about how there is some economic reason not to keep helping people, were trying to privatize these essential safeguards of the poor and throw women and children out on the street.

If a few fatcats endure losses, who cares? They deserve it after all. I mean, they wouldn't have all that money to invest if they hadn't taken it from truly productive workers - those that make minimum wage but should never get less than half of what a CEO makes since they do the REAL work.

Keep up the good work, LD! We miss ya when you're gone.
