Great blog this AM!!!

I will admit to being a big fan of McCain's, insofar as his military record goes. He is a true soldier, and no one in his right mind would ever question his military career.

Which explains why Weasley Clark does, I suppose. In his quest for an additional fifteen minutes of fame, this spit-shined poser exposes himself for the suck-up he really is.

Maybe he is "jockeying" for a spot in Jimmah's entourage....

;-)

Gunny

Good post. What part in the clown show that will be an Obama admin. do you suppose Weasley is auditioning for? Head of the Joint Chiefs? God forbid,SCOTUS? Obama still will not distance himself from this azshat, must be the p@#!k with ears SUPPORTS Cluck's notion.

Gunny

BTW,a GREAT 4th to you and family, and to all who swing by this hallowed site!

Great post, as usual,

Nothing in it that I can disagree with. When I worked in a factory, we had a nickname for those with weasley's qualifications. They were all 'needledicks, bug_uckers'

On a better note. If you can't hug the vets and military, please thank them this Independence holiday. A most sincere thank you to all those who are and have served. If you can feel it, I just hugged my computer. To those who have lost loved ones, you are always in my thoughts and prayers.

Happy Independence Day. Fly those flags proudly!

Guns, my most sincere thanks to you and all those reading who pledged "...their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor." In service to defend this singular country.

You and your compatriots have stood "between your home and the wars desolation", for this I am humbly grateful.

Semper Fi.

Holy S**t

What nursing home did they find this senile old f**k,I was hoping he was taking his dirt nap, having been forced to serve while he was a sniveling suckup General or whatever, who are the Obamunists gonna roll out next, mebey they can go out and dig up JFK ,put him in a wheelchair, attach a speaker in his mouth and have him denounce Mcshame.

Nicely put Gunny

McCain's military service is about the only thing about him worth a d*mn. Clark is a pogue*ssed "Remington Raider". He spends a few weeks in the field getting his "trigger time" chop and is unlucky enough to get dinged. All the rest is what was referred to as the standard "Company Commanders Package". Nothing to see here folks!

When will somebody put a stop to letting these "rear with the gear" paper shufflers play soldier will real grunts. Libocr*ps actually think these hacks are real soldiers.

Gunny

I worked at the Balkans Combined Air Operations Center (BCAOC) via 5ATAF during the entire Kosovo conflict. Yes…I am one of those dreaded USAF NATO staff pukes. However, I’m also a prior-enlisted USMC 0351. I’m equally proud of both.

In the BCAOC I served as Deputy Current Ops and pulled shifts on the battlestaff floor during air operations in Kosovo and Serbia. I was exposed to the inner workings of Allied Force and the scuttlebutt that accompanies all such endeavors.

The first point you make concerning the race to Pristina is well documented. It scared the crap out of most of us and was considered ludicrous at the time. And the unofficial comments from the four GO battlestaff commanders (three US one Italian) was less than glowing. You can figure out there names with a little Googling.

As for the remainder of your Clark evaluation; there may be some truth there, but I wouldn’t know. More importantly, it’s not about what he did or didn’t do years ago. He now commands the same amount of respect from the Army, as Murtha does from the Marines and Kerry does from the Navy. That says it all.

A side note: I later met the Russian one-star commander providing “security” for the Pristina airport. He didn’t approve of Clark either

Good one, Gunny

I didn't know much about the silly twit Clark other than he, obviously, thinks he's a pretty boy. Clark, Kerry, Gore, and Murtha all served our country equally well, not at all. They are in the same category with Jeremiah Wright. They are all a disgrace to the service.

Always enjoy you, though I don't post.

Good 4th to you, Sir.

Thank You Gunny!

This "Perfumed Prince" is running around in spit shined boots HE didn't spit shine. And he is as likely as not to put some front line grunt on report for NOT having HIS boots in the same condition.
My time in Viet Nam was short and I never got shot at but I rate a chest full of medals that mean doodly squat. I always figured these medals were designed and self awarded by your "Perfumed Princes" to impress folks at the cocktail partys and social functions they attend while the real soldiers get their azs shot off. I think the practice started in WWII England where there were more "PP's" than real soldiers in London...
Speaking of Hanoi John and his "heroic" service... Isn't it funny John knew the '3 Purple Hearts and Home' reg and nobody else knew it? When his suspicious SUPERFICIAL 'wounds' acquired under suspicious conditions are examined it would be a just conclusion that he went with the purpose of collecting 3 SUPERFICIAL wounds and coming home so he could run for office as an anti-war hero with credibility. Those Swift Boat Vets didn't need torpedoes to sink his campaign... The guy is definitely a "Perfumed Prince".

John Murtha...Another "Perfumed Prince"

My cousin, a graduate of The School and 35 years in the Corps said Murtha wouldn't make a pimple on a Marine's azs.
I ask him if Murtha didn't disprove the old adage of , "Once a Marine, Always a Marine". The answer was Murtha never was a Marine.
And, yeah, he's got a chest full of decorations. The same ones I have.
"Perfumed Prince"... Damn peacocks. Been around since the invention of war.

God!

I'd love to dope slap Clark!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Weasley is Slime..Waco?

There was some comments way back when during the Waco massacre that Weasley sent copters to the Waco site and that he had met with Hillary or some other pervert in the WH.

Happy Fourth, Gunny!

Sorry I've been away for so long.

I especially noted InTheKnow's comments, here. Certainly, serving on a staff or in rear echelon duty is not, by itself, something to be ashamed of. Good, professional staffwork can be a vital component in achieving victory. Nor did you say otherwise. Career motivation is the story in what separates a staff officer like Wesley Clark from someone like, say, Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Clark did, as career officers say, "punch his ticket" in the right sequences. That, by itself, is not necessarily a vice. But it's also true that Clark never went that "extra mile" either. Like most "office politicians", he was show over substance, with the goal of getting ahead- by whatever means- as his chief motiviation. Troops sense this in an officer. So do other officers whose motives are more traditional and honorable.

Of course, combat leadership- especially on the tactical level- is where you see ability and character at its best. On both the tactical and strategic levels, Clark was lackluster. Eisenhower, in comparison, never commanded as much as a battalion in combat- not because he avoided it, but because he was too valuable in staff and training duties. But, unlike Clark, his motivations were correct and his instincts of leadership sound. Combined with his staff experience, he thus proved the best man to command the European Theater in WWII. Men respected him and would follow him.

It all comes down to inspired and committed leadership. That's what separates the true officer from the "swivel chair hussar"... no matter how much swivel-time he may have had previously! Ike had it. Clark just keeps on swivelling... in circles.

Gunny..Excellent!

Robert Novak has a column on the weasel today. Hope you don't mind, but I posted a link to your blog in the comments for all the Lib-Tards to see.

Gunny,you forgot...

...that the Weasel was the doofus who sided w/ the muslims in Kosovo. He ord'd the re-painting of U.S. warplanes in Spain w/ "U.N. colors" then had them take out most of the infrastructure of the Serb's.Thousands of innocent civilians were killed.

Thank God the Brit commander at the airport refused to listen to this fool & start WW III w/ the Russian's.

Great post on the Perfumed Prince !

Happy Birthday America.

Gunny

I couldn't help myself. I actually posted a new political essay. Take a look if you have the chance.

YLG

Thanks. I agree but I think that Clark has his lips planted firmly on the a** of O-Vomit trying to be his VEEP.

clyde

If not the VEEP post than SecDef which is a scary thought in and of itself.

ALL

Hope that you All had a GREAT Independence Day. No doubt that the libs have suffered mightily on the 4th just thinking how it sucks to be free.

MD/MG

"Happy Independence Day. Fly those flags proudly!"

I could not have said it better.

Waarthog

Semp Fi brother. Hope your steak was good and the grilling hard on Gaia! haha.

One would think that after being fired by The Liar-in-Thief that he would retire in shame.

Sgt Relic

"Libocr*ps actually think these hacks are real soldiers."

When you stand for nothing, you fall for everything.

No one ever said libs have a brain.

INTHENOW

Thanks for the post. Glad to hear that the Army is wise to this spray-painted turd.

Summers

Thanks for stopping by and posting. Recommend me to your friends! haha

Buck

Those Swift Boat Vets didn't need torpedoes to sink his campaign..

Thank GOD for the Swifties.

BTW, brother, you went, you rate. Thanks for serving.

rycK

I've heard about that and if anyone knows the deal, please let me know. It would not surprise me if he was.

Steve

It all comes down to inspired and committed leadership.

Bingo. Ike did the right thing when it counted. For example, he went on the 6th of June even went the weather sucked. Weasely Clark would have waited, risking the troop's lives and defeat.

Goshawk

Thanks amigo. No problem. Anything that smacks the libs where they live, works for me.

BTW, saw your artwork. Go professional amigo. Well done.

billybob

Thanks for posting that. I'd forgotten that the four-star weasel had done that.

Is Weasley Clark Kin to Hal Doofus?

They sound like similar types.

I too don't like McCain's politics; but even his grandfather would have been proud of his service record.

Clark is a typical "officers club commando" or a "brown-noser" who proves the Peter Principle (A*sholes generally rise to their highest level of incompetence).

Sgt Relic nailed it: "When will somebody put a stop to letting these "rear with the gear" paper shufflers play soldier will real grunts. Libocr*ps actually think these hacks are real soldiers."

I hope you had a great 4th Gunny. I flew my flag and even got to tell a WW2 vet thanks during the holiday.

Good Grief

I have less respect for Clark than I do for my current senior chief, and he has done more than anybody to put my career in the toilet (he's one of the main reasons I didn't get selected for Chief a week ago). Clark wouldn't know a quality military man if he was pointed out by God himself.

duhhhhh

blah blah.

You are so f-ed.

Hide your women, and your guns.

Blah, blah, blah.

Once again...

... another thoughtful and incisive comment from Nigitty, the Nattering Nabob of Negativity!

racist steve

good for you! Quoting a democrat without trying to eviscerate him.

Dear Nigitty

Spiro Agnew was a Republican.

Sugary Sweet

It seems you are basing you whole argument on Reagan not ending the Cold War. To say that is "correct" but not correct. He forced the Soviets to overspend their budget which caused their downfall. So while you can claim there was no outside pressure, there surely was from Reagan.

Dear Sugary

Nice theory... but no go. Great events in history (and great victories) don't "just happen". They come about from leadership, vision and determination. The revisionary view of history that you offer is not "libertarian", but comes directly from the think tanks of the left. The giant image of Ronald Reagan is the single most uplifting legacy in recent American history. They (and, apparently, you) are forced into combatting it constantly and by whatever means.
