Thanks for staying on this topic. It is important that these things be discussed.
I haven noticed that homosexual couples undergoing licensed marriage ceremonies have been keeping a low profile, just as the homosexuality advocates told them to, or at least the media is keeping the spotlight elsewhere in hopes that people won't be motivated to vote for Prop 8.
And of course, they've been running their ridiculous "can't you just hear the sad violin" ads nonstop:
http://walrus.blogtownhall.com/2008/08/18/what_if_you_coul dnt_hear_the_color_red.thtmlIf Proposition 8 is defeated, we can be sure we'll see very outlandish and highly publicized "ceremonies" that mock traditional marriage and a strong push to make sure that all schools, businesses, and organizations actively teach an operate on the principle that marriage is the union of any two people, regardless of sex, and that anyone who maintains otherwise is a hateful bigot.
When a woman, for example, refers to herself as married and someone asks about her husband, she'll be able to file a sexual harassment complaint. People will be *required* to use the word "spouse" instead of wife or husband. Sounds extreme, but so did "same sex marriage" 20 years ago.
