The War on Decency

I highly recommend Laura Ingraham's book "Power to the People". In it, she says much of the same things you're saying here, but she also has suggestions and solutions to counteract the negative assault on our decency.

On your comment on my blog...make sure your daughters attend church with you regularly, get your children involved in church related youth group activities -- (if your church doesn't have such a thing, maybe you could search around Philly for other like-minded Christian youth groups -- OR start your own!!). The whole youth group thing is just taking them to a ball game, getting them involved in helping out at a food bank for the poor, getting them involved with clothing drives, car washes, even mission work.

In exposing your children to activities that are wholesome and helpful to society, they will be less likely to stray off course and find entertainment in not-so-wholesome activities.

This has been my experience so far, and so far, so good.

May I recommend a book to you as well? David Limbaugh's 'Persecution' is an excellent expose on the liberal and activist attacks upon our right practice religion freely. It is an interesting book and a very good read.

I just bought Laura's book this past Thursday. I'm in the middle of Sean Hannity's "Let Freedom Ring" but her book is next in line. I occasionally get to listen to Laura on WPHT in Philadelphia and I've seen her, once, on The View. She is an excellent writer and speaker who deals with the crazy attacks liberals make with calm and poise. She's an admirable person.

I agree with everything you wrote in your article. There is no decency in america today. Most kids today have no respect for their parents or elders for that matter. Girls dress very provocately and some boys have no integrity or Godliness whatsoever. For the past several years I have become to get more and more bothered by the immorality in our nation today. Even Christmas has become no more than greed and selfishness. I pray continuely that Gods hand would move this nation and that there would be a Great Awakening like there was in the 1700's. I would like to encourage all God fearing americans everywhere to pray for our nation. Christians need to rise up to the evil in our nation today.
