Ron Paul is NOT an Isolationist.

Well Said

It's funny how if you actually research Dr. Paul's positions and past speeches/writing that you come away with something different than what his detractors would have you believe.

It's almost as if they knew nothing about him save for the the mob rumors.

This will be a good place to send those people who bring up the Isolationist charge.

I wouldn't care if he was isolationist.

There's lots worse things to be called than
an "isolationist". Moreover, being against foreign military adventures and trade inequities is not a bad thing.

Moreover that is only a single issue anyway. Beware of single issue zealots.

I get really weary with intellectually lazy people who are unable (or unwilling)to evaluate each issue, (and each individual) on the particular merits as opposed to labeling, sweeping generalizations, and pigeonholing
of thise who disagree into some "nefarious"
group.

I have no time for anyone who uses "isms" and other stupid labels to summarily dismiss or disparage rather than engage those with whom they disagree.

Such a person is usually an idiot.

cornpone harry...

I am certainly no single issue voter. However, when uninformed writers use the word "Isolationist" it is almost certainly used to cast a negative light upon Ron Paul. It is usually preceded with "out of touch" or something along those lines.

If a writer is going to start throwing "isms" around, they should at least take the time to look up the definition of their "isms" and know what they mean; rather than use them incorrectly to mischaracterize a candidate.

Come on

at least use a respectable and valid source for your definitions. Wikipedia is good for basics on many issues but their definitions are terrible and most times contradict sources like Encyclopedia Brittanica, Merriam-Webster, etc. Try looking at the description of isolationism in EB and the consequences of the proposed actions of Rep Paul.
