Voting for Obama: Economic Suicide

Spot on!

Not only is true journalism dead, but the American people are more uninformed than ever. The masses are asses (or donkeys).

Thanks for revealing the fact that Democrats in office are usually liberals elected based on their social policies. They get to congress and have no idea how to handle economics- they just know that people need their "rights" and that's their sole objective.

Bryan

Yes, as we've seen the Republicans sure know how to keep the economy on track! Are you blind or just stupid?

Peppermint

You are merely underscoring what I said about liberals - they don't understand economics.

You might consider hanging out at the Huffington Post or the Daily Kos - where your ignorance will doubtless blend in...

John

Last time I checked this site was open to the public in general. This is a Democracy we live in, am I correct? Oh that's right, we don't pay attention to our constitution anymore do we.
As for ignorance, well I suppose that's a matter of opinion. Right-wingers, especially the extreme ones such as yourself and those who like to give you their little nod of approval, all appear extremely narrow minded and ignorant to me. They turn my stomach frankly. They kinda smell like rotten meat come to think of it!
It would appear that I've upset you by not agreeing with everything you say. Apparently that is all you are looking for, others to agree with what you are saying and make you feel important. Kinda boring if you ask me, but at least it's safe I suppose.

Peppermint

Sigh...I'll try to explain. Your postings, like those of most temper-tantrum-throwing whiny liberals, is rife with anger, personal attacks, outrageous hyperbole, while being virtually devoid of intellect or reason. Most of all, you show no class or manners.

I actually enjoy intelligent debate. I have debated decent liberals on the floor of the Minnesota House and Senate, and we are friends afterward.

Sadly, they are the minority - most are like you. I am free to choose to avoid reading the vile, hate-filled rantings of those who hang out at the Daily Kos or Huffington post, which is why I don't go there. And why I suggested that you would be happier there, surrounded by like-minded liberal fascists who actually ARE trying to stifle freedoms (does the "Fairness Doctrine" ring a bell?)

Anyway, one wonders what exactly you get out of your verbal tirades. Are they merely the ravings of an obnoxious 2 year old desperately trying to get attention?

Frankly, none of us here care.

Peppermint - P.S.

And NO, you are not correct that we live in a Democracy - we live in a Democratic Constitutional Republic, and the differences are substantial.

Speaking of class and manners...

No class or manners? Hmmm, here are a few quotes from your blogs on here. "His Imperial Majesty" when referring to Barack Obama. "Liberals smell like garlic" - just plain rude, "Granola-eating tree-hugger," when referring anyone who choses to eat healthy and protect the environment, "Loony lefties," anyone who disagrees with republicans.
"Marxist," referring to Obama. I could go on, but you get the picture.
Class is not defined by what kind of suit you dress in or how much money you have. Class is someone who is kind, fair, understanding, non-judgmental. Sarcastic name calling is a quick way to anger anyone. I was just giving you a dose of your own medicine. Obviously you didn't like it, just as the left-wingers don't like being called names by you.

I rest my case

Note that none of the comments referenced were other than humor-laced satire. If you didn't even get the intentional metaphor in "Liberals are like Garlic" then I can't help you.

And disagreement is not what qualifies one as a "Looney Lefty" - it refers to those who support idiotic and naive policy positions (gun control, taxing "the rich", worrying about polar bears, etc.) And besides, I have sensible liberal friends who use the same term - they are embarrassed by them even more than I am.

However, I did not, nor do I ever, make the kind of vicious, vile statements common to most "liberal" blogs, where it is routine to wish that this or that conservative dies, or, upon discovering that he or she actually IS dying of cancer, expressing hope (as they did even with a supremely decent man like Tony Snow) that he "suffers a lot" before he dies.

And as for referring to Obama as a Marxist - well, if his own public statements correlate perfectly with Karl Marx's own views (and they do - Obama is an unabashed socialist) what would YOU call him?

As for class, funny YOU brought up "suit" and "clothes" - a Freudian slip?

No, class is simply elegance, not "niceness" - one can skewer your opponent (even literally) and do it with class. One can be "nice" with no class whatsoever.

Oh, well, I'm becoming bored. If you must have the "last word," be my guest - after all, it IS still a free country...at least for now.

Last word, and thanks for the invite!

Your condescending tone sounds a little like an old neo-conservative man (remind you of anyone?). It must be wonderful to feel superior to others as you do.
As for elegance? Would that be like in "Elegant Roughneck?" Your description, not mine. You see yourself a a classy guy? If only people knew. Don't worry John, I'm done here. Maybe you should consider me a friend delivering a warning about what you should and shouldn't do on the internet.

Peppermint

"Warning?"

I have friends you most certainly do NOT want to meet who work in agencies you are too naive to even know about - I suggest that you be careful about whom you threaten...
